Veteran actor Tony Kwong Chor Fai last year was diagnosed with stage four intestinal cancer. His condition improved after surgery and chemotherapy, but in recent months he had a relapse. Earlier when friends Annie Liu On Lai, Ng Yuen Yi and others visited him, his frail condition worried many.

Kwong Chor Fai passed away last night at age 59. His family last night issued an English statement to confirm the news.

"To all whom care about Tony Kwong,

Tony passed away peacefully with all his beloved family being around in the evening, for the meantime, would appreciate to have space for his friends and family to settle and take care of the rest. Thanks for all the love and caring to Tony, he is at rest in God's hand.
