The Best Actress Gong Li, Best Actor Aaron Kwok Fu Sing, Law Chung Him, Xiao Shenyang, Feng Shaofeng starred, Soi Cheang Po Soi directed THE MONKEY KING 2 (SAI YAU GEI JI SUEN NG HUNG SAM DA BAK GWUT JING) after 4 months of production finally wrapped up "White Bone Spirit" Gong Li's role earlier. Before leaving the team, Gong Li and the team took photos. Kwok Fu Sing, Xiao Shenyang and others who have not completed the production could not be more envious.

Gong Li before the production put a lot of effort into studying the role of White Bone Spirit. She had three major fight scenes with Sing Sing, Law Chung Him and Xiao Shenyang. First time on the wire, Gong Li had no stage fright at all. Under the master action director Sammo Hung Kam Bo's coordination, form and aesthetic visuals merged.

Gong Li did not return home for the Lunar New Year. Instead she stayed with the team and focused on her role, which left the team with nothing but praise for her professionalism. Gong Li during the shoot often treated the team to snacks and even took the team to dinner. No wonder when she left everyone was reluctant to part with her. Filmko chief Alex Wong Hoi Fung also complimented Gong Li on her professionalism and was proud of the unity of the team.

MONKEY has been slated for a 2016 Lunar New Year release. Many big films like the Stephen Chow Sing Chi produced MERMAID (MEI YUN YU) would be released during that period. Wong Hoi Fung said, "I am not sure what movies will be there, but my goal is the box office championship. I also hope that other films will perform well too." In addition, the film earlier went to shoot on location in New Zealand for a week. During editing, Cheang Po Soi realized that the New Zealand part could be done even more perfectly. The film company spared no expense and made another seven figure investment to shoot there again.

MONKEY has already received many film companies' offers but the film company has set all film sale aside to focus on the Hong Kong Film and Television Market later. It has already rented three units to create a giant "White Bone Cave" to promote the film.
