DETECTIVE DEE AND THE MYSTERY OF THE PHANTOM FLAME (DIK YUN KIT ji TUNG TIN DAI GOK)'s production in Hengdian is near its end. Lead actress Li Bingbing's Shangguan Jinger look yesterday finally was unveiled. it resembled Brigitte Lin (Lam Ching Ha)'s Invincible Asia. Action director Sammo Hung Kam Bo first thought that Bingbing looked like Ching Ha too. Bingbing's character not only could fly over roofs and walk on walls, but also with Andy Lau Tak Wa played ventriloquist with animals, listened to heartbeat, excelled in seven weapons like long whip, long sword, knife, and darts.

In the film Li Bingbing had a lot of fighting scenes with Lau Tak Wa and Tony Leung Ka Fai. Earlier Bingbing fell off a horse and injured her foot. Luckily nothing was broken, but she gave director Tsui Hark quite a fright. That day they shot the grandest scene of the entire film at the Qin Palace. Carina Lau Ka Ling as Wu Zetian and Li Bingbing as Shangguan Jinger were on the training ground with over 1,000 extras. They both wore very heavy armors and helmets on horseback. Li Bingbing after a close up shot was preparing to get off the horse when the horse panicked and she fell from the horse. The horse panicked again and in the chaos stepped on Li Bingbing's foot a few times. Luckily the trainer was able to tame the horse in time and her head suffered no injury. Her foot was so swollen that she could not even put on her shoes. Bingbing was in so much pain that she was covered in sweat and tears, but after apply ice for half a hour she immediately returned to the shoot.
